AGM Separator

AGM ( Absorptive Glass Mat ) is a non-woven fabric made with glass microfiber. It has been available for more than 30-years and has been used in VRLA batteries world-wide.

 

Characteristic

NSG has a variety of AGM grades uniquely designed for different VRLA applications and manufacturing demands.
In general, AGM has the following characteristics :

  1. Absorbency :
    Because AGM is highly porus ( 90-95%, @20kPa ) that can absorb more acid.
    Additionally it has small pore sizes to maintain electrolyte levels in the battery.
  2. Durability :
    Because AGM is highly resistant to battery acid, oxidation and heat, and can maintain its shape and strength after prolonged exposure of sever environmental conditions.

Applications

As the above-mentioned, AGM is the best for the retainer mat for VRLA batteries.
